Podcasting is a rare format where you get to show bits and pieces of who you are to different people in different ways. It’s a medium I can really get on board with because any chance where I get to open up and be myself in raw form is freeing. There are times where I feel stage performance stifling. I get concerned with what I’m saying, how I’m saying it, how I look, how I sound, what I’m doing. There’s a lot of guards up and insecurity is inevitable. Finding that raw, honest part of who you are while making a crowd laugh at the same time can be a daunting task and something most pros don’t master until the 20 year mark and even then their redefining who they are thanks to their own hard-earned renascence.
The last few weeks I had the opportunity to guest on two podcasts. The first is FromageCast where I sat down with old friend Patrick Coppolino, reminisced about the early days of our careers, regaled old stories, and even shed a few tears. Amazing that I could spend that time with a friend and create a great podcast.
Another great podcast and double the length was with the wrestler “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea. Scotty and I met at a comedy show during the days where Patrick and I were starting out. Listening to these podcasts back-to-back will give you some great perspective on my journey and how I see the world now that I’m having a baby.
Thank you for listening and please share the episodes with your friends!
